Description
Responsible for assisting with the management and daily operations for The Flats at Loyola Station and ensuring overall quality management of a fully-functioning guesthouse. Being part of a small close-knit running a guesthouse grants employees the flexibility to pursue interests from marketing to finances to operations. Also, responsible for ensuring The Flats is well-represented with past guests, future guests, Loyola University Chicago, and the Rogers Park community.
Skill Requirements
Exceptional organizational skills
Exceptional inter-personal communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to prioritize and make rapid decisions based on organizational needs
Ability to manage multiple projects at once and oversee them from start to completion
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Google Docs
Commit 10-12 hours/week in school year, 15-25 hours in summer period
Primary Responsibilities
Operate as front-line customer service for the Flats at Loyola Station
Respond directly and promptly to customer correspondence via phone and online
Manage guest reservations through The Flats at Loyola Station’s online reservation system
Receive and analyze recommendations, complaints, and other guest requests as needed
Track and monitor guest analytics
Be available for “On-Call” responsibilities 5-6 nights/month
Assist operations team as needed
Assist Director of Marketing as needed

Assist with operations for a fully-functioning guesthouse
Manage guest services as they relate to on-site guest needs
Manage and track inventory levels for guesthouse
Assist in management of third party outsourcing
Assist in management of hotel RFID lock system software
Coordinate all day-to-day operational tasks i.e. cleaning schedule, laundry schedule, check-ins, check-outs, code changing, seasonal changes to building/units
Assist guest services team as needed; managing reservations and responding to guest questions/requests
Be available for “On-Call” responsibilities 5-6 nights/month
